How our affiliate relationships work
Reel Trading Post is free to read because it's funded by affiliate commissions rather than a subscription or paywall. This page explains that relationship plainly, because we think readers should be able to see exactly how a comparison site pays its bills.
What "affiliate-funded" means here
Some operators listed on this site pay us a commission if a visitor follows a tracked link from our pages and goes on to open an account with them. The tracked link contains a code identifying it as coming from Reel Trading Post — that's the entire mechanism. We don't receive any information about what happens in that account afterwards.
What this doesn't change
Commission arrangements do not affect how an operator scores on this site. The eight criteria described in our About page are applied the same way regardless of whether, or how much, an operator pays us. An operator cannot buy a better grade, and none of the six operators compared on our homepage were selected because of their commission terms.
How to spot a tracked link
Every "Visit" button pointing to an operator carries a tracking parameter in its address, such as ?btag= or &affid=, and is marked with rel="sponsored" in the page code — a standard signal search engines use to identify paid or affiliate links. Cards on this site also carry an "Ad · 18+ · T&Cs apply" note wherever a welcome offer is mentioned.

An affiliate relationship is not an endorsement of any particular outcome. We don't imply that signing up through our links improves your chances of winning, and no offer described on this site is guaranteed, risk-free, or exclusive in a way that changes the underlying odds of any game.
Independence in practice
Reviews and comparison scores are written and maintained without input or approval from the operators covered. If an operator's product changes, we update the review — we don't wait for, or need, anyone's sign-off to do so.
